Some Easy Dips for Holiday Entertaining!

Crab Dip

Ingredients
8 oz/227 g cream cheese
1/4 cup/60 mL sour cream
4 tbsp/60 mL Crab Snack & Dip Seasoning
1/4 cup/60 mL crabmeat or imitation crab

Cooking Directions
Whip cream cheese until softened. Fold in sour cream, seasoning and crab. Let stand for 30 to 60 minutes to allow flavors to develop. Serve on melba toast or assorted crackers.

French Onion Dip

Ingredients
2 tbsp/30 mL Onion Soup Base
2 cups/500 mL reduced-calorie sour cream

Variations:

Onion Dill Dip: To the above recipe, add:
1 tbsp/15 mL Parsley
1 tsp/5 mL Dill
¼ tsp/1.2 mL Garlic Granules
Dash Cayenne Pepper

Onion Herb Dip: To the above recipe, add:
1-1/2 tsp/7.5 mL Garlic & Chives Seasoning
½ tsp/2.5 mL Minced Green Onion
½ tsp/2.5 mL Oregano
½ tsp/2.5 mL Basil

Cooking Directions
Mix ingredients together and refrigerate for 2 or more hours. Serve with chips, crackers or vegetables.

Vanilla Cream Cheese Dip

Ingredients
1 package (8 oz/227 g) reduced-calorie cream cheese
1 jar (7 oz/198 g) marshmallow cream
1-1/2 tsp/7.5 mL Double-Strength Imitation Clear Vanilla Flavor (11 oz)

Cooking Directions
Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth. Chill 1 to 2 hours. Serve with assorted fruit, such as pineapple, apples, pears, or strawberries.

Makes 2 cups, 2 tbsp/serving.
