During the holiday season, we find ourselves rushed and we sometimes neglect eating right. This breakfast shake is wonderful for the whole family but especially good for any diabetics in your family.
Banana-Pineapple Breakfast Shake
2 cups plain fat-free yogurt
1 can (8ozs) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
1 medium ripe banana
8 packets sugar substitute
1 teaspoon Watkins Vanilla
1/8 teaspoon Watkins ground Nutmeg
1 cup ice cubes
Fresh pineapple slices (optional)
Place all ingredients in blender. Cover; blend until smooth. Pour into 4 serving glasses. Garnish with pineapple slices.
Makes 4 servings
For a diabetic diet this would be ½ Milk, 1 ½ Fruit Dietary Exchanges. Only 27 grams Carbohydrates, 1 gram fiber less then 1 gram fat, 8 grams protein and sodium 95mg
